The book is by photographer Peter Beste and writer Lance Scott Walker, who spent 9 years documenting the scene, and profiles UGK’s Bun B (who also provides a foreword), Z-Ro, the Geto Boys’ Willie D, Lil’ Troy, and Paul Wall, with “reflections on the lives of departed legends such as DJ Screw, Pimp C, and Big Hawk.” Houston Rap is available now from Sinecure Books.
